What a lovely week in beautiful Wales. Barcud Lodge was a wonderful home from home. Well equipped, clean with beautiful view from the upstairs windows.
Fabulous walks over the hills and down to the beach. Two days swimming in the sea and playing in the sand at Rhossili and Broughton Bay – superb, clean and crowd-free beaches. Weather was changeable, but such a lovely place to be. Thank you.

We have had a lovely holiday in this gorgeous, very well equipped house! Thank you. Fab view from the kitchen sink!! Great beaches and lots of good walking. Weather varied from really hot Easter weekend to Storm Hannah at the end. The Gower is a great place!

We’ve had a brilliant time in the “upside down house”. A true home away from home. The views are fantastic and the beaches are some of the best we’ve been to. The weather has been perfect for days at the beach and going further afield. Very child friendly which is a nice point in making everything that bit more relaxing! Would be more than happy to visit again!

Beautiful weekend. The beaches around are amazing and we would definitely recommend Eddy’s down by the bay. The walks to the beach are beautiful and have amazing views. The kitchen is well equipped which meant we could enjoy meals at home while watching the sunset. We even made a cheesecake! The house has everything you need. We would definitely recommend walking up the mountains as the view is well worth the climb. The King’s Head has an amazing setting and atmosphere and we would recommend.

Lovely holiday celebrating a big birthday. Lodge so well equipped (just couldn’t find a cheese grater) and ideally located. Dogs loved the beach, kids loved the waves.

We enjoyed fabulous weather with something of a squall on the last night, meaning campers leaving Hill End at 4am! Particularly enjoyed the atmosphere at the King’s Head. Lots of lovely walks – Llanmadoc Hill has stunning views. Lovely beach at Spaniard Rocks although the walk through the burrows was not easy. Gower never disappoints!

We enjoyed an amazing holiday here. The views were absolutely stunning! When we arrived we loved watching the beautiful sunset on the beach. The kids loved paddling in the ocean too. To wrap it up a wonderful half term break!

We have enjoyed our stay in this very well equipped house. The view of the sea has changed hourly and added to our enjoyment. Walks over the downs to Rhossili and back along the beach are particularly to be recommended.

Mixed weather. Some very nice days and some very nasty days. Remainder were ‘acceptable’. Very nice property and local people! Recommend the Kings Head for food and beer, also the Britannia Llanmadoc for food beer and atmosphere. Tesco at Fforestfach is the only ‘real’ supermarket on Gower, but shop at Hill End is useful for odds and ends and newspapers.

We all fitted in very comfortably. The beautiful weather all. week meant the grandchildren could enjoy the beach every day. The food at the King’s Head was appreciated by all and Joe’s ice cream was delicious. Wish we could take the views home!

Fantastic Easter break – weather was kinder to us than first expected. Lots of walking and biking, plus added bonus of finding soft play for our toddler at Gowerton (Simply Play). Free play activities around Swansea courtesy of Swansea Council. Also Community Farm near Fforestfach shops. Great for the kids. House and surroundings beautiful – thanks.

Super Week – many thanks! Sunny days on beaches (Rhosilli, Oxwich). Rainy / cooler days swimming with children at LC, Swansea and playing ‘hide and seek’ in Nation of Botanic Gardens. Salt marsh lamb at King’s Head worth a try too!
Superb Weather, excellent location – beaches and countryside marvellous. Boys surfed all week! Cardiff only 20 minutes away and an interesting day trip! House – could not ask for more!
