July 11th. At last – the Welsh border is open, Welsh travel restrictions are eased and we can return to Barcud Lodge! Having returned home when Boris introduced lockdown in March, we wondered when we would be able to get back to Wales and when our guest bookings could resume.
Easter came and went and our bookings could not take place. During the summer half term in June, another busy time for holiday makers, bookings were still off limits. But now we are back and our summer bookings can go ahead. We have just enough time to clear the house of all ‘unnecessary items’ before summer guests arrive and also to fit in plenty of walking!
